Last year in China, we once again encountered a situation where someone had our products manufactured in the same factory in a very similar, or even identical, form. Among the rockets, this included our salute rockets with silver cracker tails, Argento Shellrockets, 13 Himmelsturmer, etc. Some people like to point out that this is just how things are in China, and we have to accept it. Accordingly, they'll surely be happy to accept it when the tables are turned.
My colleague Weiwei, head of Funke China, has made it clear to the factories that we will not accept such counterfeit products and will immediately terminate our cooperation with any factory that still produces such items. This may mean that in some cases we might be unable to supply certain products in the short term – but by and large, it will primarily mean that they will have to do most of the work themselves elsewhere. I'm curious to see how this will play out.
Since some products were still in production, and it was unacceptable to us that they would be shipped, a solution had to be found for what to do with them. The solution is now two new items in the Reconquista series: the "Reconquista Rockets" and the "Flop 10," which were subsequently returned.
The Reconquista Rockets are a set that bears some similarities to the 13 Himmelsturmer (same number of rockets, same dimensions, same number with the corresponding special tail ascents), but the effects are modified to varying degrees. The rockets, as seen here, also deviate more significantly from what was ordered (some effects are incorrect, for example, the dahlias with titanium bursters are missing). Apparently, the non-existent "quality control" failed, and the factory simply filled the boxes with different effects than ordered. Another problem was that during our inspection, we discovered that the rockets weighed 27g each, which unfortunately falls outside the permissible CE tolerances for 20g rockets. This means they are not suitable for general sale in Germany.
However, we're sure others will thank us for this, as we prevented the accidental sale of such rockets in Germany due to a lack of quality control – you're welcome!Consequently, there will likely be no further batches of this product, and we will instead offer the 13 Himmelsturmer rockets again.
