We won the 1st edition of the Malta International Fireworks Festival 2006.
We won Best Innovation, Best Choreography, Best Synchronisation and Over all Winners.
I would like to thank all those we make the fireworks as well oll those who helped in the preparations and in all aspects to make this dream cames through.
I also would like to thank and say Congratulations to the other competitiors, the Jubilee Fireworks Ltd. UK, Luso Pirotecnica - PORTUGAL, St. Michale Fireworks Factory Lija - MALTA and 15th August Fireworks Factory Mosta - MALTA.

Ahh that's good
I hope that many other people will watch it !!
Always keep in mind that these fireworks are ALL done locally and done voluntary !!

We really enjoyed in taking part in this festival! Because now I really know how much in work it involves to set up the display !!

I'll post some other nice photos today of a friend in the photos section !

Just wanted to say hello as a new freakpyromaniac - I came to Malta this weekend with friends just for 2 nights specially to see the Festival and we had a fabulous time. It was our first visit to the island - and what an introduction to your famous firework displays.

I wanted to find out who had won the competition in the various categories and came across this discussion group when I did a search. There seems to be such a lot of interesting stuff posted here (but maybe I have to learn Dutch!)

Congratulations to all at Mqabba - we all thought your display was definitely the best. I'm looking forward to the movie being posted so I can enjoy it all over again. I am proud to say we spotted the word MALTA in the sky!

We're already planning to return next year!

Okey Freaks here is the promissed movie. I want to tell you all to watcht very good at 5 minutes and 30 seconds for to 5 minutes and 40 seconds. You will see the first ever multibreak shells where you only see the break but not the effect ( thunder ) you wil only hear them.

And then at 9 minutes and 20 seconds you will see the word MALTA . I dont know how this guys made thos 2 effect mentioned above but i can tell you its really fantastic,.

I think I maybe have a clue on how they made the MALTA. If you make single shot candle blocks in the shape of the letter u want and you fire them towards the crowd you get to see the letter (to make the letter grow point the candle´s a little outwards of eachother). In this way I think you could make and letter/shape. (But the candle´s need to shoot with the same power and at the same time)

Last thing I heard was that the server where this movie is hosted is temporarily down. It should be online within a couple of weeks if I´m alright.

Just would like to add that the invisable reports did not appear for the first time this year. That was invented by Saint Mary's Mqabba in the early 1990's. And we did it as well a little after. Probably the only 2 factories that produce it.

Saint Mary's Feast starts in a week's time. Should be very good. Good Luck Mqabba. :w
