Hi all
I must say we at the St. Mary Fireworks Group of Mqabba Malta this year we had a great fireworks display once again. Our festa of Santa Marija is celebrated from 9-15 August. After we were the first Group in Malta to make Fireworks synchronised to music back in 1997, this year we were the first to use the FireOne systen which came out to be a grat success. Our society is on the forefront of fireworks inventions and development in our country; day fireworks and also night fireworks. So if any1 of you need more information on our fireworks feel free to contact me.

Regards

Hi Jonmif,

Although they don't even come close to the real thing, it's good to see these movies again. Thanks for sharing.

I downloaded the movie yesterday, but didn't have time to watch it.
Just watched it and have to say it's incredible. You really did a good job.

At first I didn't recognize it, because of the music and the other viewing point, but after some shell sequences I saw that this was your show for Santa Marija.

It's only now that I can hear that the timing on the music is very good. On the roof of the club I couldn't hear any music, but it was a great spot for making pictures though.

Think I'm going to watch it again before going to sleep. :)

@August15

Maybe this is not completely on-topic but I would like to ask you a question about the Fireone system. Do you use the main module panel or the firelite panel?

I have studied both closely as far as I could, and the big difference is that the main module can operate 99 firing modules top and firelite 20 of them. But is that true?

Further Fireone says that the main module as well as their firelite can fire ques in any sequence you like. Here is an example of how I would like the system to work and for you the question if that is possible.

Main goal is to fire a non pre-programmed script, so all the ques are to be programmed on site. Que 1 consist of 4 cakes, located on a wide front, e-match connected to the rails. Que 2 is an automated sequence of 30 e-matched salutes, wich from point of firing are to be fired with 0.25 second intervalls, after the last salute the systems holds stand-by on que 3 untill triggered by the operator (is firing by joystick an option?) Etc etc

Is it possible to programme the fireone for manual (or stepped) firing and ad fully automated sequences to the script?

Next question I have is how difficult it is to program a firing script on location after the fireworks all have been put in place? Or is it more convenient to strictly follow a pre-thought firing schedule?

Hope you’ll find the time to answer my questions, thank you. :w

We use the Firelite beacuse we use a max of 20 modules.

Fireone also includes like a switch to fire manually

Is it possible to programme the fireone for manual (or stepped) firing and ad fully automated sequences to the script? - yes it can

Next question I have is how difficult it is to program a firing script on location after the fireworks all have been put in place? Or is it more convenient to strictly follow a pre-thought firing schedule? - usually the script is done many weeks before the show so that music can be selected etc.
It depends how complex your show is.

Is it a switch or a joystick? Eather way I prefer not to shoot "from the panel" because it draws my attention a little bit from actually monitoring the fireworks. With a joystick I won't have to look at the panel when firing.

A pyromusical is a different story, I understand that. What I ment was the complexity of programming the firelite for a normal show, but that we for example decide on site to change our shooting order and ad up one or two fully automated sequences to the script.

Pherhaps it's possible that you send the firelite manual to me, or partially? I think that I'll have a good idea of how complex/difficult programming is once I have read it. Ofcourse only if it's not to much trouble for you?

(in case you can send it by e-mail, maybe you can send it to Tony or another moderator)

I don't have any manuals for it.
Because when we use it we hire it.
The programming of the show is not so difficult since it's appropriate software is used.
Some basic knowledge of computers is ony needed.
