One killed, 32 injured in fireworks factory blast in China

Beijing, Nov 05:

At least one person was killed, 32 people injured and six still missing after a fireworks factory explosion in southwest China's Yunnan province, local government sources said.

The accident occurred when a storehouse exploded around 6:20 pm on Thursday at Xiaotuanshan fireworks factory in Jiangchuan county, when 202 people were working.

One worker has been confirmed dead in the blast, Xinhua news agency reported last night.

The factory was immediately evacuated after the explosion. The search for the missing and the investigation into the cause are still underway, it said.

They really should start to make the working conditions as well as factory sites more safe, otherwise these blasts will keep occuring in the future..

Firework factories want to work cheap and "forget" about safety often, the Chinese government just has to set standards for this!

It's Terrible news. Now we can realise how it going on overthere. This is not the first time I read a message like this.

They really should start to make the working conditions as well as factory sites more safe, otherwise these blasts will keep occuring in the future..

Safety first. That's a important message. But when they going to do that, than we can forget the "low budget" fireworks around here, like Belguim and Germany and many other countrie's overhere has. The price would be higher.

That's a reason why they don't doing it. Fireworks are very important for the shopkeepers, because they earn very much money with it.

It's always sad to hear that kind of news, but you must realise:
There are over 42000 small & big factory's in China!!! so once and a while this happends.
I always keep this in mind when i lite my first cake to honor the people that died to make it all posible for us.
