The electrifying Al Seef Road, the eighth destination of the mega 10th Dubai Shopping Festival will turn into a kaleidoscope of even more exciting activities on Thursday. Celebrating the Eid Al Adha, DSF rejoices the occasion with its own special events around the city to capture the imagination of all from January 20 to 21.
The Street, which will be star of the Eid Al Adha celebrations, will be closed for vehicles from 4.00pm to 10.00pm on Thursday to accommodate the activities. The Al Eid Grand Carnival will be the highlight of the street events with performers from various countries interacting with the visitors. The first carnival of such a magnitude and sheer magnificence in Dubai, 35 bands with over a thousand performers from 30 countries will dazzle the Al Seef visitors, while a huge stage featuring non-stop shows will entertain the young and the old.
A number of decorated cars and bikes will also be on display in the street for the sheer delight of the visitors. Every evening, the visitors will also be mesmerized by the Dubai police musical band, that will be accompanied by the smart, Arabian horses, trotting in tune to the players. On water, the Dubai Civil Defence Team water shows resembling the popular Fantasia, using water guns from boats, will also spellbind spectators.
Besides the fun and entertainment on land, The Al Zarooni fireworks will paint the skies with their dazzling, extra spectacular fire works in the course of these three days. The special fireworks, which will be 15 minutes in duration for the Eid festivities will begin at 8.00pm.
Women and children visiting Al Seef Road during the Eid holidays will have an opportunity to paint their hands with the traditional henna by experts for free. Not only will the Kids’ Area Fun Zone and the sand corner where children can occupy themselves with making sand sculptures will keep them entertained, but children will also receive gifts galore during the days of Eid festival.
Besides the main Al Seef Street Eid activities, the other DSF daily celebrations will go on as usual. The Al Zarooni fireworks will continue at the Global Village and the Heritage and Diving Village at 9.00pm and 8.30pm respectively. The unique Aqua Fantasia show will also enthrall spectators at the Dubai Creek Park at 6.30pm, 8.00pm and 9.30pm.
The Layali Dubai Concerts will be held from 9.30pm to 1.00am at the Dubai Airport Expo, Dubai Fashion 2005 at the BurJuman at 5.00pm and the carpet Oasis at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 10.00am to 10.00pm.
