Correction, I am wrong. I was just reading Daily Sun news paper and it states that there will be a fireworks show:
INAUGURATION EVE
Wednesday, January 19, 2005
President Bush is a very busy man on this inauguration eve. His schedule is jam-packed with a concert, a fireworks show, three dinners and a party. But he started off the day with a look back at history.
On the eve of the inauguration, the first couple stopped by the National Archives. Last night, President and Mrs. Bush attended an inaugural youth concert. Pomp and circumstance aside, security is taking center stage on this first inaugural since 9-11.
Just last night, the President`s motorcade was diverted during a four-hour standoff near the White House. A man threatening to blow up his van was eventually arrested without incident. Today, 50 law enforcement agencies are cementing plans to deal with crowds and protesters who have been allowed to set up along the parade route.
Later today, 100 city blocks will be shut down in downtown DC. Parking restrictions are up and barriers are in place to ensure safety when the President takes the podium at the capitol tomorrow. And late this afternoon, at the other end of the mall in the area called the Ellipse, the inaugural committee is expecting hundreds of people to show up for a concert and fireworks show they`re calling "A Celebration of Freedom."
