Westcoast Fireworks win........

Well were rubbish at sport but at least we can compete at some things UK wins World Pyro Olympics 2007

http://www.westcoastfireworks.co.uk/

Westcoast Fireworks spectacular fireworks display beat nine other countries to win the Grand Championship of the 2nd World Pyro Olympics held in Pasay City last week.

The international fireworks competition lit up the skies over Manila Bay on five separate nights from Jan. 5 to 13, and drew huge crowds to the reclaimed bay area and Roxas Boulevard.

The United Kingdom’s entry was judged the best based on variety and quality of shells, audience impact, composition and choreography and overall design. Team UK, which presented its display Jan. 7, was composed of Matthew Spencer and Neil Ross representing Westcoast Fireworks.

China, the last competing country to fire up the skies Saturday night, was given a special award for technical excellence and precision. Team China was composed of Francis Wu, Sik Kong Ho, Kwek Teck Kee and Jeffrey Mou representing Glorious Fireworks group.

Other countries that participated in the 2nd World Pyro Olympics included Australia, Poland, the United States, Spain, Germany, Denmark and Canada.

The Philippines, represented by event organizer La Mancha Pyro Productions, was not a competitor but just the same wowed the crowd with its own world-class fireworks show at the end of the competition.
