[2007] Falla Nou Campanar

Het lijkt erop dat Fallas 2007 weer veel records gaat breken.
Niet alleen wat betreft Nederlandse bezoekers, maar ook meer deelnemende groepen, grotere budgetten, etc..

Kwam wat fotootjes tegen van de maquette van Nou Campanar.
Verwacht budget 650.000 euro. Wederom een loei grote Falla en erg mooi, maar wellicht een voortborduursel op hun Falla van voorgaande jaren.

IK heb begrepen dat ze er voor 2007 een limiet aan het geld zouden stellen wat voor een falla gebruikt wordt. Ik zal eens verder speuren.

Vannacht heb ik ook nog gelezen dat men (de JCF) overweegt om nieuwe prijzen in te stellen. Naast de traditionele prijzen voor "talent" en "sierlijkheid" wordt er gesproken over "risico" en "lef", die vergelijkbaar zijn met "innovativiteit". De twee nieuwe eerste prijzen zouden de tweede en derde prijs voor "talent" en "sierlijkheid" moeten vervangen, zodat ook beoordeeld kan worden op andere aspecten van een Falla.
Ook zou er mogelijk een totaalprijs komen voor de allerbeste Falla in de vorm van de Premio Extraordinario.

Daar is echter nog niets definitief over, maar dat het "rommelt" is bekend.
In oktober (deze maand dus) zou er meer bekend over moeten worden.

Ik denk dat het grote voordeel van Nou Camapanar is de omgeving waarin ze de Falla neerzetten. Daarnaast is mede bepalend hoe groot de commissie is en zeker ook hoe groot de groep invloedrijke mensen is waarmee ze hun Falla kunnnen financieren. Dit laatste is zeker in het voordeel van Nou Camapanar, en de kosten zullen ieder jaar blijven stijgen, en zal niet worden beperkt in hun omvang. Ook zal de Spanjaard dit zeker niet tolereren daar hun eer in het geding komt, de las artistas in deze. Welk ook uit zijn voegen gaat is Na Jordana, ostia mi madre deze gaat ook ieder jaar groter en groter. Bueno pues nada. AMUNT VALENCIA.

Stukje over Nou Camapanar. Hierin wordt beschreven dat ze een record hebben gevestigd qua budget, maar ook dat het heel moeilijk wordt om te juryreren. Ze zeggen ook dat de Fallas in de categorie "Especial" de budgetten liggen tussen de 120 en 390.000eu. NOOT: de Falla van Convento 2006 was 490.000eu, maar dit terzijde. Ook schrijven ze dat niet het budget en de grootte de eerste prijs bepaald.

La comisión de Nou Campanar, que preside Juan Armiñana, bate para 2007 su propio récord del pasado año al superar los 690.000 euros, unos 115 millones de las antiguas pesetas, distribuidas en 600.000 euros para la falla grande y 90.000 euros para la falla infantil. El resto de las fallas de Especial están entre los 120.000 y los 390.000 euros.El abanico de presupuestos en las llamadas fallas más modestas de la sección Especial oscila entre los 1200.000 y los 187.000 euros. Con estos costes, resulta muy difícil a algunas comisiones alzarse con los primeros premios de la categoría , aunque no conviene olvidar que ni los grandes presupuestos ni las grandes piezas implican que se muestre la mejor falla.

'albufera's cup el desafio' joking with the americas's cup that's going to take places this year in valencia.
Many fallas are going to be about this thematic of america's cup and sailing.

In this case they joke with the title, instead of america's cup they say albufera's cup, albufera is a lagoon connected to the sea that is a natural park and is located near valencia. There aren't any kind of competitions inside albufera, only small boats for local fishermen and tourist boats can 'sail' in that lagoon, just to feed the hordes of mosquitos that live in the albufera. :weird:


The artist Pedro Santaeulalia is the same that have made this falla since the year 2004, a young but important artist of a family of artists. Before nou campanar he made also some special section fallas, and won the 1st prize for sueca-azorin in year 2002. The expression that he gives to the ninots is easily recognizable.

I'm looking for more detailed info about this falla, if i found something i'll edit it here.

First pieces of Nou Campanar falla have arrived, (and we are still on february!!)

the first pieces of this giant monument, the most expensive falla ever, cost 600.000 euros, have arrived this morning early to the falla place from the artist's workshop. Plantà of the fallas are earlier every year because of the size of the fallas pieces.

A giant project:
This falla will be 29.70 meters high and around it will be placed more than 80 figures, 24 of them are quite big from 6 to 12 meters with a suggestive composition.

The falla is not pyramidal. It has two points opened. THe people visiting this falla will see a copy of the methalic structure of the warehouse numbre 5 of the harbour, with a farmer on the top carrying the america's cup togheter with a lady that represents the team Luna Rosa. In the central body of the falla the artist will put a typical cart with valencian farmers dressed with typical costumes.

All the teams of America's cup are represented ins this falla thriugh different figures.
