IK heb deze week contact gehad met de organisator van het vuurwerk symposium.We hadden eerder dit jaar al wat geruchten gehoord maar het is dan toch echt waar.

The 9th Symposium will take place in Berlin April 3 till 7 2006. I will be visiting Berlin the end of September to make arrangements and will have details posted to the website at that time.

We would encourage everyone to plan now to attend the 9th ISF which will be held in Berlin, Germany April 3-7, 2006. One important feature of this Symposium will be the release of the research work done under the European CHAF program, "Quantification and Control of the Hazards Associated with the Transport and Bulk Storage of Fireworks". This work is will impact on the fireworks industry around the world, therefore it is important for industry stakeholders to be in attendance to review this information firsthand. Keep informed by checking up on our website or the Symposium website .

Da's balen. Zit je van 14 t/m 25 maart in Valencia en Castellon, "moet" je een week later alweer naar Berlijn. Helaas valt het symposium in Berlijn net te vroeg om er een lang Paas-weekend van te maken.

The International Symposium on Fireworks Society in collaboration with the Control of the Hazards Associated with the Transport and Bulk Storage of Fireworks (CHAF) Program members (BAM, HSL, and TNO) is organizing the 9th International Symposium on Fireworks. The International Symposium on Fireworks is recognized as the premier forum for the presentation of papers and the discussion of topics dealing with the safety, scientific, engineering, artistic, and regulatory aspects of fireworks and other pyrotechnics associated with entertainment and celebration, putting a special emphasis on results of the CHAF research.

Papers concerned with the following traditional areas are invited:
-Safety
-Chemistry and Physics of Fireworks and other Associated Pyrotechnic Devices
-The Art and History of Fireworks
-The Art and Technology of Special Effects
-Regulations and Standards
-New Concepts in Manufacturing, Transportation and Storage
-Other Related Topics
-Papers which address the following special Symposium theme topics are encouraged:
-Comparison of Display Sites and Practices in Different Countries

Tot nu toe is alleen het volgende bekend.

maandag 3 april: show langs de rivier in "Treptower Park"
woensdag 5 april: pyromusical op terrein van BAM (Bundesanstalt für Materialprüfung)
vrijdag 7 april: afsluitend vuurwerkfestival. Men hoopt vóór het Olympisch Stadion.
