on Saturday the biggest Show in my Pyro Year is happend.
Manu, Sabrina and Suko came to me about 11.30h. Befor we drove to Cologne we had a nice Meal in our favourit Chineese Restaurant. All you can eat for 6,90€. It was very tastfull, like alleays
After the Meal we went back to my car to put some things in it like Chairs my tripod and a large amount auf drinks. On the A565 near Bonn we had a large traffic jam an I had a doubt of reaching Cologne in time. But like a miracle there was no heavy traffic in Cologne so we could park just in time near the Kölner Dom. In the Garage we drove in circel sometimes befor we find a space to park my car.
We took our equipment and went down to the Rhine Banks. On half way down there was a merchandising stand of Weco Fireworks. You could get catalogs, lanyards, matches, biros and ice scratchers for free. Only the jacket for 25€ and a waistcoat for 17€ was sold. I think the stand is a good idea of Weco.
After this little stop we went to our filming place near the KD ticketstore and placed our chairs and filming stands in front of the railing. Malte an Rosanna are there allready.
A short time later a filming team of the WDR reached our place and Malte got wired.
After this it was time for the first interview. Malte answered a few questions about his photo-equipment and the display fireworks he visited in the past. A little later Suko gave a statement about the novelties and different kind of articles from the catalog.
Z´The WDR Team stayed the whole Time till after the Firework by us and filmed many Scenes.
On a short walk I saw this sign. I think it's friendly to inform the crowd about the obstructed view of this place.
Malte bought a "Currywurst-Pommes" and had a little surprise in it. Mmh, a fried spider, disgusting.
Later that evening Marcel, Tikey and Johnny arrived and had a nice evening with the shisha. Tastfull Fruitmix Tobacco from Spain
Naturally Marcel had to make also again its jokes. The ear in ear thing combined with a colored tongue by Slush ice was already very funny
Meanwhile two jet ski-drivers made their stunts and a rowing regatta matched for the cup.
Our Shisha burned the whole evening. Everyone who wanted to smoke could.
Later a neon bulb got attached to my tripod because the WDR needed some light for the nightshots of us. Then I got wired to answer some questions about my hobby, my finest firework and some other things.
Then the music started, the ships passed through and all people lighted their sparklers. A really amazing view. Only the music played in the background wasn't my favorite.
23.30 the Firework startet. Georg Alef the Coreograph present a realy great and fantastic show. The interaction of the music and effects simply perfectly. Particularly in memory the rather dark sad section of Cologne history remained for me. Cologne in the hail of bombs was represented very beautifully by Relampago Salut bombs . In addition the large amount off waterbengals was realy great.
Further the 3-colored ring shells with popping pistill and the monstersized watershells were really fantastic
The Music was very happily with some nice Cologne songs like, Viva Colonia, Müllemer Bötche, Superjeile Zick.
WECO exceeded itself again.
ike always the parking fees were very expensive (13,20€). In the garage we had to wait about 30 minutes to get out. We arrived Andernach about 2 am and I fell in my bed but couldn't find any sleep.
Don't forget: Today at 18 pm the WDR will show the review with scenes of the setup and the interviews with us.
