De titel zegt denk ik al genoeg, maar anders valt in het artikel van Levante hieronder ook te lezen dat Valencia in principe alle 'grote' activiteiten (lees: met veel mensen) rondom de viering van 9 oktober, af wil lasten.

Dit betekend in principe dat naast niet-vuurwerk-gerelateerde activiteiten, de mascletà op het stadhuisplein op 9 oktober, niet door zal gaan.

Ook het 'vuurwerkfestival' (in de nacht van 8 op 9 oktober) zal waarschijnlijk niet doorgaan, maar daar werd nog geen keiharde uitspraak over gedaan, aangezien die wordt georganiseerd door de 'Diputación Valenciana'. De burgemeester (Ríbo) zei echter wel dat het wel waarschijnlijk was, aangezien alle activiteiten welke een grote mensenmassa op de been brengen, nu niet door kunnen gaan.

Heel wrang, wij hadden in juni al de boeking afgezegd, zagen dit al een beetje aankomen. (daarnaast kan mijn werkgever verloven intrekken bij een tweede golf). Na de eerste kennismaking met valencia/pobla in oktober vorig jaar wilden we het dubbel en dwars weer gaan herbeleven.. :( Ik denk zelf dat de maart festiviteiten (net als massa festivals e.d.) pas doorgaan als er een vaccin is en er een bepaald percentage van de bevolking zich heeft laten enten..

Balen, ja het hangt allemaal van medicijnen en vaccins af vrees ik. Die ellende begint straks weer opnieuw als het weer straks slecht wordt en iedereen weer binnen zit... moet er niet aan denken. Ik hoop echt dat de vuurwerkbedrijven overeind kunnen blijven.

De mascletas en castillos van las Fallas zullen tijdens de oktoberfestiviteiten worden gelanceerd

De veertien pyrotechnische acts zullen in de districten worden afgevuurd, behalve een mascleta aerial vanaf het terras van het gemeentehuis van Valencia.

Een happy end is al gepland voor de pyrotechnische schoten die in de Fallas van 2020 in afwachting waren na de schorsing van het feest vanwege de pandemie. Het programma wordt afgesloten met Poble Nou , waar Valenciana op de 9e om 14.00 uur een mascletà zal schieten en in Castellar zal op de 8e om 22.00 uur een kasteel worden gebouwd van de firma Caballer FX.
