The Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade has opened a public information process of the proposed regulation of fireworks and Cartuchería on the Spanish legislation transposing the European Directive 2007/23/EC concerning the placing on the market of pyrotechnic products , published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 14 June 2007.

The text of the regulation, for whose drafting Industry invited to the Autonomous Communities to provide their suggestions, defended as essential principles of safety and security of consumers, and provides the European guidelines on a number of specificities that allow the continuity of the celebration of traditional Spanish festivals in which they use these products.
In the European Directive lays down, inter alia, the rules designed to achieve the free movement of pyrotechnic articles within the internal market, while ensuring a high level of protection of human health and public safety of consumers and taking into account relevant aspects of environmental protection.
The text of the Spanish transposition not forget that, for security reasons, you can not ignore the fact that such products, although they are quite common and popular use, pyrotechnic mixtures and substances containing a high hazard triggers, but incorporates a series of innovations, as suggested in part by the Autonomous Communities, which ensure the continuity of the celebration of traditional Spanish festivals in which they make use of pyrotechnics.
In order to reach an agreed text with all stakeholders, the Ministry of Industry has held previous meetings with the Autonomous Communities, the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, major manufacturers and national associations and federations and groups the main hall Valencia, Catalonia and the Balearic Autonomous Communities which are used more frequently and with greater intensity of pyrotechnics in various festivals and social events in order to hear their comments and address their concerns, before proceeding to the mandatory process of information public starting now.
