Pendragon Fireworks, from Cwmbran south Wales, won the Twelfth British Firework Championships in Plymouth on 12th & 13th August.
Firing last on the second night, Pendragon beat Star Fireworks, from Bracknell, into second place and Kent’s Phoenix Fireworks into third.
The other competitors were Dragon Fireworks (Surrey), Skyburst The Firework Company (Bristol) and Fireworx Scotland (Aberdeenshire).
This year’s displays were better than ever and the competition was red hot despite the rather cool weather.
As usual, tens of thousands of people gathered along the waterfront to watch the displays.
Pendragons’ Jon Mellen was delighted with the win, which he dedicated to his father.
The Lord Mayor of Plymouth, Councillor Brian Vincent, presented Jon Mellen with the winners’ trophy.
