How do English speaking people find their way inside FPM?

Hello Cheesev, et al.,

Just out of curiousity I have a few questions.
1) How do people who read no Dutch find their way through this site?
2) Do you avoid the (rest of the) Forum entirely?
3) Which parts are your favorite parts of this site?
4) Will any of the English speakers who come here also go to Valencia??

I just saw on rec.pyrotechnics that someone mentioned FPM.

Best regards, HocusPocus

I find my round this forum using 'Altavista Bablefish' translations. It works OK but not brilliant. We were in Valencia last year (2004) and will be there again this year. We have a fallas website called lasfallas.co.uk and have a pro company in the uk called Flashpoint Fireworks. Are you from the UK or US? and will you be in Valencia for Fallas?

Madbob :)

Lasfallas.co.uk? I checked out your site a few weeks ago. Very nice, my compliments. I like your movies, especially the sound. Did you enhance that (digitally)?

BTW. I'm dutch. I also went to Fallas in 2004 and will be going in 2005 and all the years to come. :) Maybe we'll meet sometime, if we haven't already met.

Hi Madbob, Good to hear all this. I had not realized that Dutch translations were available as well with Babelfish. But that's great. I'm Dutch myself and will be in Valencia for sure. Will stay in El Puig with a large group, some are really regulars. I've been in Valencia before, twice. I suspect we will meet in the Black Sheep and have a drink there. :)

Looking forward to it.

Regards, Hocus.Pocus

We stay right in the Centre of Valencia just off the Plaza del Ayunlamiento. That is where we filmed the Mascaleta from last year. We are not staying in that hotel this year we are in C Barcelonia 5 street jst to the north and right of the square. :)

Hope to see you in Valencia. Only 5 weeks to go now :) :) :)

I can't remember how i found this site, probably searching with google some videos of valencia i finally ended here.

I have been in fallas for several times, and this year i'l be there too. It' s easy for me as my family lives there and my parents own an apartment so i can even decide to go in the last minute.

I'm spanish and speak a little bit of english.

I read several threads in dutch using Altavista Babelfish but only when i think is something interesting because the translations are not very good many times and its hard to follow a long thread.
I have also posted several times in english in a dutch thread and haven't been banned yet ;-)

Have seen also fallas.co.uk great site and good videos too.

I found this thread/website over 2 years ago now, I was doing a search on google.com for fireworks videos, and someone had a link off of there website to a video hosted on fpm. So I removed all the url but the front part, and found this website to be highly intresting. I also have made some nice friends along the way, Tony, Madbob, etc... and anything related to fireworks in English be sure to ask.

thanks again all

I followed a link from UKFR and it was my viewing of the Fallas films of 2004 that has led me to make sure that I am there this year. I try and find my way round the site as best I can and Tony sends some e-mails in English which helps.

I work part time for Madbob and his brother (Flashpoint Fireworks) and will no doubt be downing a few beers with them and the many others from UKFR that are attending.

Have agreed to meet up by the gates to the cage in the main square after the 14.00 Mascleta.

See you all there
