The City council of Valencia, through the Valencia initiative Already, has equipped with network Wifi to all the municipal libraries of our city (34) and the Municipal Centers of Youth (14). In these centers it is had guides to form the access with different types from devices. Also Wifi in the Press room is had on watch the building of the Place of the City council. Bibliomar in the Marine Stroll and the Market of Columbus has a simple system of autorregistro. In this way, any user who has a laptop with card of network Wifi, will be able to connect itself to this network of gratuitous way.
Throughout 2011, thanks to a subsidy of the Plan Confidence of the Valencian Catalan Autonomous Government, a total of 59 joining points has settled.
The locations are:
- Jardín del Turia, entre el Palau de la Música y el Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe: 11 puntos de acceso.
- Parques de Viveros (5), Orriols (3), Marxalenes (3), Rambleta (3), Cabecera (4) y Oest (4), con un total de 22 puntos de acceso.
- Edificio Plaza Ayuntamiento: 6 puntos de acceso.
- Tabacalera: 4 puntos de acceso.
- Las Naves: 7 puntos de acceso.
- Museo de Historia de Valencia: 1 punto de acceso.
- Mercavalencia: 6 puntos de acceso.
- Palau de la Música: 2 puntos de acceso
One will limit the connect time (in principle to 3 hours), as well as the contents (with filters) and the services (not allowing unloadings). These limitations settle down to fulfill the requirements established by the Commission of the Market of the Telecommunications, organization of public right whose mission is to safeguard the conditions of competition in the market of the telecommunications. The user will have itself to register a unique time and, as of that moment, he will be able to use his identifier of user and password in any zone wifi policeman. In this way cover occurs to zones of abundant public concurrence. In the case of the parks the service in zones of banks and infantile games has been harnessed. In the municipal buildings, it has been decided on common zones, patios, rooms of multiple uses, etc. The typology of the buildings is varied and goes from the purely administrative use (Building Place of the City council or Tobacco grower), to the one of the creativity and the innovation (the Ships), to the cultural one (Museum of History of Valencia) or to the commercial one (Mercavalencia).
