woohoo!!! four thumbs up for Ricardo Caballer!!! :p :9 :p :9 They a had the best show by far ( i think)!! if their finale was not a hidden finale |:( i think they could have won the champions of champions trophy!! I really loved the gerb sequence and then the girandolas suddenly burst into life!! that was the best!!! stupid smoke!!! but i think if i will grade them i will grade them 9.5!! :-P The first sequence is quite familiar!! oh it looked liked their show in fallas de valencia hehehe!!!

If you think away the smoke for a minute. You realise that this was a history in the making. Just look at the increbible technical performace just for the girandolas starten. I am sure i personaly have never seen this done before. Steppers going horizontaly and up and down along the bottomline. It almost look like a scene from the "close encounter of a third kind" movie! The assistance of the steppers supporting the upgoing shells. Its just amazing really!
I can imagine the boys of Ricasa must have been very frustrated that the wind (if there was any) was not blowing away the smoke.

Gelukkig hebben we de FPM videobeelden nog om alles weer naar boven te halen. Want 5 dagen bier/bacardi doet een mens wel eens dingen vergeten hahaha!

Re: Ricardo Caballer (Ricasa)

I know Ricardo was the best of that week. The freaken smoke ruined everything. Believe me i could have cried after the show because this was the show that i was going for. Ricardo Caballer in the Champions of Champions edition can't be nothing else the Thunder in my Heart...But its not all good. The timing of the shells is almost perfect but therefore also to static. For the rest i have seen many great things again and i hope he will do the pre finale also in Valencia on The Nit de Foc 2007.
There was a big discussion after this show. Should the jury look true the smoke ? Should the jury be divided over several places like they do in other competitions? Ricardo told me that he saw the show perfectly and that there where no errors. He was pretty upset also after the jury announced there points for his show in the news paper.
The Qeustion is can the jury give a show like Pirotecnia Igual (Pirogestion) with errors due to fire ( Rumors tells some cables been burnt) more points then a show without any errors but ruined because of the smoke ? THe smoke is not the problem of the pirotecnician. Okay i also thought this was a problem for the jury. because my question was how can they give points for things they dont see ? But is this a problem of the shooter or a problem of the jury.
I hope the organisation of this festival will think about a solution because smoke is for 99% the only thing that can beat a show to dead.
After this show i had a feeling you can't believe. I was sad and angry on myself because i didn't choose to stand somewhere else (Behind the show) like we did with La Rosa.

i think that the jury made a wrong decision to place pirogestion who had technical difficulties higher than ricasa who didn't have any technical difficulties at all but the show was covered in smoke cause wat happened to them was natural! On the other side i think that the smoke was the main challenge for ricasa! plus they have already seen the first two shows and the smoke was also their problem so it was their decision to do sumthing about that! lyk using some small effects that will only cause small smoke accumulation and wait for the smoke to go out before they proceed to their finale!!. They just had bad luck!! ;( :'( I still liked ricasa's show all in all!! woohoo!!!:p

Believe me smoke is never a challenge its a thig that can ruin months of preparation and you cannot decide in 1 day to change the whole show because that nearly impossible with show big as this one. And dont forget as you said yourself wind is nature and it can change every second.

Ik vind het niet belangrijk zolang ze maar weten wat ik bedoel. inplaats van dat je loopt te klagen over me Engels kan je ook wat zeggen over de show. Dan is het namelijk geen thread vervuiling.
